Polymer Clay Animal Skin Jewelry
These kind of Polymer Clay beads are not easy to make: first, the right colors must be blended, then tubes are made in different sizes with the brown clay. These tubes then have lengths of black clay added around them but not ALL around, and finally, tan clay is used in between to link them all together. The resulting "cane" is then sliced and the slices placed around a "base bead" (of any color) and blended together, which is the tricky part: blend too much and the colors will bleed, or blend not enough and a line will be visible where the slices meet! The beads are then cured, sanded, and buffed - a very time consuming job. But the result is worth it as when you look at Leopard Bead Necklaces on the market, they look cheap, are light, and wear off easily. Polymer Clay lasts decades without damage! I am now attempting to make a TIGER SKIN BEADS NECKLACE!!! Thank you for reading!
